Artist Statement

Heidy Kux-Kardos has been dabbling in various visual art forms since the late 60’s starting with tie-dyeing, Batik, embroidery, watercolour and doodles.

In the 70’s she took art classes at Simon Fraser University. After raising her four daughters, she studied under Layne Dahlen at Northern Lights College, followed by sketching classes from Inez Demuynck, Shelley Mowat and acrylics with Edna McPhail.

She joined the Exploring Art Group in 2018 and has had many of her paintings displayed at the Dawson Creek Art Gallery.
She is now focusing on Zentangle, 3D exploration and finding her own style.
